Mini-Metros

The Mini-Metros Program is an optional developmental opportunity for 6–7 year old players who are already participating in the PLSC Recreational Program. Offered during both the fall and spring rec seasons, Mini-Metros provides additional training sessions for families looking to give their child a little more exposure, challenge, and growth without leaving rec soccer behind.

Led by PLSC Staff, these sessions focus on building strong individual skills, confidence on the ball, and an early understanding of the game in a fun, age-appropriate environment. Training emphasizes small-sided play, decision-making, and creativity helping players fall even more in love with the game.

Mini-Metros also introduces players to elements of the competitive program, including opportunities to play against other clubs in the area. This gives young players a low-pressure, supportive way to experience what competitive soccer can look like, while still prioritizing development, enjoyment, and confidence.

Is Mini-Metros Right For Your Child?

Mini-Metros is an optional add-on for 6–7 year old rec players who want a little more soccer. Here’s a quick way to decide if it’s a good fit:

  • Loves soccer and asks to play more
  • Ready for extra sessions during fall and spring rec seasons
  • Enjoys structured training in a fun, age-appropriate environment
  • Wants skill development and confidence, not pressure
  • Curious about competitive soccer, with chances to play other clubs
  • No commitment required to future competitive teams

Mini-Metros is for players who love the game and want to explore the next step at the right pace, in a positive environment.
