If we decide to cancel we will notify families by 4:00 on practice days and as soon as we can in the morning for game days on Saturdays.
Be informed! Please read the rules and guidelines of the game before the start of the season!

Each player will need to wear shin guards, socks that COVER shin guards, water bottle, soccer ball and athletic shoes to each practice and game. Soccer cleats are recommended, but athletic shoes are acceptable. They should secure tightly with ties or velcro and have good support. No boots, sandals or slip ons. No baseball or football cleats with toe spikes allowed.

Uniforms
K-8th grade players will wear a reversible uniform top, pictured below. It is a style that we have used for many years, so if you have one, even an older one/hand-me-down, please feel free to use it!
They are meant to be used year after year.
We will also have socks available for purchase @ $3. These are optional, but at a great price point.
Please have players dress for the weather. Lakefront park tends to be windier and colder than our front steps, so dress in layers. Players may wear sweatshirts or coats under their uniform top for warmth. They may wear hats and mittens - but please, no strings on hats or sweatshirts.
Glasses may be worn, but a secure safety strap is required.
No jewelry can be worn, including earrings & necklaces.
New earring piercings included - wait to pierce!
Thinking about coaching?
All of our coaches are parent volunteer coaches. We cannot run our program without our parent volunteers and are extremely grateful for all of our volunteers.
No soccer experience is required; weekly lesson plans are provided as are trainers for part of your weekly practice session for Rec.
Let us know if you are interested; you can indicate your interest on the registration page ! We try to have 2 parent coaches for each team. Coaches are responsible for the weekly practice and weekend games for our rec. program.
If you are coaching Little Lakers our trainers will work with your team the first 30 minutes and help set up the game for the next 30 minutes. Coaches will help out with games on and off the field.
You will be amazed at how fun it is to be out on the field with your child and his/her peers. We do honor buddy requests for our volunteer coaches. If you would like to dedicate your time and talents to the program we would love to have you. Please indicate your desire to coach below.
Due to Safe Sport Act of 2017, all coaches need to submit a background check, concussion and abuse awareness training for all youth sports organizations. This includes coaches and volunteers. Background checks completed with an other organization will not count.
For families interested in joining, or hearing more about the traveling soccer program, please join us on any of the following dates. A great chance to hear about PLSC travel soccer opportunities, tryouts, and ask any questions you may have. All are welcome to attend!
